Biography
Born in 1980 in
Sèvres (France), born of a bulgarian father and a swiss mother, Sofia
Leconte Mitev paints since her childhood.
At 17 years old, she is already winner of 8 regional contests of painting and has exhibit in more than fifteen spaces: « Peinture et Patrimoine » show, Cernay (France), Gif sur Yvette (France); Painting shows, Breuillet (France), Blanche Gallery, Paris...
In 2001, she is graduate of the Lyon
National School of Arts.
From 2001 to 2004, she created and managed an art gallery in the
district of Paris « Le Marais ».
Specialist
in the hiring of works for the movies decorations, she has rent her own
paintings for about fifteen movies, as « Les Poupées Russes », « De
battre mon coeur s'est arrêté », or « Tu vas rire mais je te quitte ».
During these three years, she exhibits her works several times at the
Gallery.
Sofia Leconte Mitev currently prepares an
artist book called "En Puisaye": this artbook collection is published
two times per year, it contains original lithographs and an etching.
The book publisher has already presented works from Miro, Alechinsky,
Miotte or Texier.
